A series of portraits showing some of the incredible people that supported me through an intense, month long hospital stay, while I underwent Chemotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant. Pictured below are nurses, a ward sister, hospital cleaner and an amazing patient. This patient, Yvonne, hugely brightened my hospital experience. On one of the first days that I was able to leave my room and see my family, after isolating due to Neutropenia, Yvonne and her family were in the shared space of the Oncology Ward, singing and talking. Sharing our experiences of health, treatment and our lives up to this point was undoubtably the most uplifting afternoon of the stay. It felt like a break from the overwhelmingly difficult experience both families were going through.
